Saba Qamar responds with sarcasm to petition filed against her for wearing police uniform

Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar Zaman has once again come into the spotlight, not for a new drama or film, but due to a legal petition filed against her. The actress has responded to the matter with humour.

A petition has been submitted in a Lahore sessions court alleging that Saba Qamar wore a police uniform without official permission.

The case gained attention after a video circulated on social media showing the actress inside a dressing room wearing an SP’s uniform.

Following the video, questions were raised online, sparking debate across social media platforms.

During the controversy, Saba Qamar reshared an Instagram post by Diva Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheel Rao, who defended the actress. In his post, Rao questioned whether an actor playing a police officer should appear in bridal wear or casual clothing instead of a uniform.

He said costumes are always chosen according to the story and script, not personal assumptions.

Saba Qamar reacted to the post in a light-hearted manner. In an Instagram story, she wrote, “Oh God! It seems I have become very famous these days,” accompanied by laughing emojis.

Her response was widely shared and described as humorous by social media users.

The petition was filed by a citizen, Waseem Zawar, through his lawyer Aftab Bajwa. The application argues that under the law, no individual is allowed to wear a police uniform or use the insignia of an SP without official approval.

Legal proceedings in the case have begun, while Saba Qamar’s sarcastic response continues to attract attention online.
