Renowned Pakistani TV host Nadia Khan has claimed that Halala centers are being operated in major cities across the country, including Karachi.

During her TV show, "Kya Drama Hai," Khan praised the drama "Mann Jogi" for its realistic portrayal of Halala.

In Islam, Halala is a process that allows a woman to remarry her divorced husband after completing a valid marriage with another man, followed by a divorce.

However, the actress questioned the motives behind establishing such centres.

"It's astonishing to see Halala centres operating openly, advertising their services on social media," Khan said.

"They claim to handle everything from nikah to divorce in a pleasant  manner, urging women to contact them confidently."

The Kam Zarf star revealed that she found over a dozen online advertisements for Halala centers in Karachi alone, providing detailed addresses, phone numbers, and information.

"These centers are working openly, with no fear of repercussions," she noted.

"This noble Islamic practice is being defamed by these centres."
