Veteran actress Marina Khan recently spoke about the dating show Lazawal Ishq. She disagreed with the criticism of its theme and shared that, while the program may not be suited for television, it is better suited for online platforms.

Marina shared her views while appearing as a panelist on a private TV channel, alongside fellow actresses Nadia Khan and Atiqa Odho, offering feedback on entertainment content.

When the host asked for their opinions on the dating show being aired in Pakistan, the panelists expressed excitement and appreciation. They wondered whether the participants would live under the same roof and eventually get married.

The host explained that participants would complete tasks, sometimes divided into pairs, which would shuffle over time. When feelings develop between two participants, the show progresses, ultimately crowning a winning couple.

However, when the host mentioned the backlash the show had faced, Marina Khan grew angry. She highlighted that similar backlash had led to the online banning of the drama Barzakh on YouTube. She criticized Pakistani audiences, saying they often fail to appreciate bold initiatives by their own people while enjoying similar content from others.

"We get embarrassed by our own people doing these shows, yet we don’t mind enjoying the same from others," she said.
