Renowned actor Danish Taimoor weighed in on the TV shows where senior actors offer judgmental opinions on the work of young artists, calling this approach inappropriate.
Known for his role in popular drama series, Jaan Nisar, Danish Taimoor avoids interviews and TV appearances where he would be asked to provide opinions on the work of other actors, as he believes it's inadequate to judge his peers.
He criticised a TV show, Kia Drama Hai, where senior actresses frequently offer harsh critiques of young actors and their performances in ongoing drama series. He did not explicitly mention the name of the program.
Veteran actresses including Marina Khan, Rubina Ashraf, Atiqua Odho and Nadia Khan appear on the show to share their views.
The actor maintained that he refrained from sharing such opinions “out of fear of displeasing Allah.”
Danish expressed his disapproval of the contemporary trend of actors offering on-screen suggestions to their colleagues, arguing that it's disrespectful to publicly point out someone's shortcomings.
"If you want to provide feedback on someone's work, you can do so privately in a phone call," he suggested.
While addressng his critics, the Deewangi star also said, “Your comments have zero percent impact on our success.”
He slammed inexperienced actors who offer unsolicited advice or criticism to seasoned artists. He asserted that such criticism is often motivated by a desire to gain views.
During the interview, Danish discussed his early struggles to secure acting roles, stating that he had once given private tutoring and visited production houses in search of opportunities.
He revealed that as a young actor, he was frequently replaced at the suggestion of more experienced artists.
Danish Taimoor also shared that he remains unfazed by criticism, despite the fact that many people have objected to his performances. He considers it as his positive quality to not be bothered by others' critical opinions."
