The Pakistan Army has been deployed in Islamabad to control the unrest during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, as per a notification issued by the Interior Ministry.

As per reports, the army has been called under Article 245 of the Constitution, with strict directives to take decisive action, including shooting on sight, against individuals involved in creating chaos.

The notification stated that the army has been granted the authority to impose curfews in any area to maintain law and order.

During the PTI protest on the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad last night, unidentified individuals rammed a vehicle into Rangers personnel, resulting in the death of four Rangers while five were injured.  Two police officers also sustained serious injuries in the attack.
