Disheartened woman takes her own life after her husband dies of cardiac arrest

Disheartened by the death of her husband, who died of cardiac arrest, a 23-year-old woman took her own life by jumping from the seventh floor of a building.

The incident occurred in India's Uttar Pradesh where a woman identified as Anjali could not bear the separation from her 25-year-old husband Abhishek.

ACP Indian police Swatantra Singh said the incident was reported at 10:00pm on Monday night. 

Following the incident, the police reached the spot and transported the injured woman to the hospital but she succumbed to her wounds at 8:00am in the morning today.

The couple had tied the knot in November 2023. 

A day earlier from the incident, Abhishek felt chest pain while they were visiting the zoo in New Dehli. Anjali, with the assistance of friends, shifted him to the hospital.

Following the medical treatment, the doctors discharged him but after returning home Abhishek became unconscious and after reaching the hospital, doctors declared him expired. 

Abhishek's dead body was brought to his home, which led to chaos in the house. Anjali could not bear the trauma of her husband's death and locked herself in the room and, a few minutes later she took her life by jumping from the flat.

However, the police are investigating the matter to ascertain the real cause of the alleged suicide.
