Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Saturday stressed the need for political dialogue to address Pakistan’s ongoing crisis during a seminar marking the anniversary of Khawaja Rafique.
Sanaullah called for talks between key political figures, specifically Nawaz Sharif, PTI founder Imran Khan, and Asif Zardari, to find common ground for resolving the situation.
He stated that meaningful discussions could only occur if politicians first acknowledged their past mistakes and shortcomings.
Sanaullah referred to the Charter of Democracy, signed after the 1973 Constitution, as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s political history, describing it as a “sacred document.”
He recalled how both the PPP and PML-N had previously accepted their past mistakes for the sake of collaboration. On the current political climate, he urged that if PTI insists on their version of the truth, they should also recognize past grievances, suggesting at least an expression of regret.
He concluded by stressing that Pakistan’s political crisis could only be resolved through joint efforts, with Khawaja Saad Rafique playing a pivotal role in the negotiation process.
