In Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, government officials punctured the tires of vehicles parked in no-parking zones, a move that has sparked widespread controversy.

A viral video showed the Tehsil administration team using sharp tools to deflate the tires of several vehicles, some of which had drivers present inside at the time.

Local sources confirmed that the action was carried out under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner.

In the video, the administration team can be seen deflating the tires of vehicles parked along the roadside, with several drivers visibly present in the cars.

Following the incident, the Deputy Commissioner appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner Irfan Anwar as the inquiry officer to investigate the matter.

Anwar expressed regret over the action, calling it an unfortunate step, and assured that an investigation would be conducted and compensation would be provided for any damages incurred.

Citizens have raised concerns about the lack of parking facilities in the area, pointing out that the absence of proper parking spaces forces drivers to park in no-parking zones.

They questioned why expensive tires were being destroyed due to the enforcement of parking rules.

Meanwhile, the local traders' association in Sadiqabad expressed their reservations over the incident, criticising the method of puncturing tires as a form of punishment for parking violations.
