Ten years after love marriage, couple, their children murdered in Kotri over 'honour'

A shocking incident unfolded in Sindh’s Kotri, where a couple and their two children were murdered over 'honour', 10 years after their marriage. A girl present in the house at the time was also abducted, police confirmed.

Police stated they recovered four bodies from a house in a Site area of Kotri. The victims included a husband, wife, and their two children.

The bodies, which bore multiple stab wounds, were believed to have been killed four days before being discovered.

The victims were identified as Imran, 40, and Alia, 35, who had contracted a love marriage in 2016. They had two sons were Zeeshan, aged 9, and Salman, aged 5.

Moreover, at the time of the murder, a girl was present in the house, who was abducted by the attackers.

Police suspect Alia’s family to be involved in the crime. Her brother had allegedly attempted to kill the couple in the past, after which they had relocated to another residence for safety.

The bodies were transported to the Edhi mortuary, and after the completion of legal formalities, will be handed over to the heirs.

Initial investigations suggest the couple originally belonged to Balochistan and were killed in the name of honour.
