14 personnel injured as IED blast targets security forces convoy in DI Khan

A roadside explosion in Dera Ismail Khan’s Daraban tehsil on Tuesday left at least 14 security personnel wounded, according to security officials.
The blast, believed to have been caused by a remotely detonated improvised explosive device (IED), struck a convoy of security forces moving through the area.
The force of the explosion caused severe damage to one of the vehicles in the convoy. All injured personnel were transported to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in DI Khan for treatment, where officials confirmed that three of them remain in critical condition.

The incident occurred as security forces continue to confront militants involved in an ongoing assault on Cadet College Wana in North Waziristan. According to the military, a clearing operation is in progress to eliminate the three attackers who infiltrated the educational facility.
After the Daraban blast, additional police and security teams rushed to the scene and sealed off the surrounding area. Authorities subsequently launched a search operation to ensure no further threats were present.
In a separate development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police reported that they had repelled an overnight attack on the Ahmadzai Police Station in Bannu district.
