Security forces have successfully concluded Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 in Balochistan, eliminating a large number of Indian sponsored terrorist elements in a series of "coordinated, swift, and intelligence driven operations".

According to the military’s media wing, the operation began on January 29 in Panjgur and the outskirts of Harnai district after credible intelligence indicated the presence of militants posing an immediate threat to the local population. During the initial phase, security forces raided identified hideouts and killed 41 militants linked to Indian proxy networks, the ISPR said.

It added that subsequent militant attempts to destabilise the region were repelled through “aggressive and resolute” responses by the security forces. Following these attacks, a wider series of intelligence-based operations was launched across multiple areas to dismantle sleeper cells through sustained search, combing and sanitisation efforts.

As a result of these coordinated actions carried out by the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and intelligence services, a total of 216 militants were killed, significantly weakening the leadership, command and operational capacity of the terrorist networks, the statement said.

Security forces also recovered a large cache of foreign-origin weapons, ammunition, explosives and other equipment during the operation. Preliminary assessments indicate organised external facilitation and logistical support for the militants, according to the ISPR.

The military said the operation came at a heavy cost, with 36 civilians, including women and children, losing their lives. In addition, 22 personnel from the security forces and law enforcement agencies were killed while carrying out their duties.

Paying tribute to the fallen, the ISPR said the nation honours the sacrifices of the martyrs and stands in solidarity with their families, adding that their bravery and professionalism reflect the highest traditions of service.

"The Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in their resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations under the ambit of Government of Pakistan National Action Plan (NAP) and counter terrorism operations will continue with full determination until the complete elimination of terrorist threats," the ISPR said.

"Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 stands as a testament to Pakistan’s and particularly Balochistan’s proud peoples’ unwavering commitment to always prefer peace over violence, unity over division and development over violence."
