Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that 26 civilians were martyred and 46 others injured during Indian strikes on six locations across Pakistan on the night of May 6-7.
Among the worst-hit areas was the Subhan Allah Mosque in Ahmedpur Sharqia, where 13 people, including two three-year-old girls, lost their lives.
The casualties also included seven women and four men. Additionally, 37 people, including nine women, sustained injuries in the attack.
In another strike, the Bilal Mosque near Muzaffarabad was targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians and injuries to a boy and a girl.
The Abbas Mosque in Kotli also came under fire, where a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy were martyred. A mother and her daughter were reported injured in the same attack.

The Umm Al-Qura Mosque in Muridke was struck as well, killing three civilians and injuring one. Fortunately, no casualties or significant property damage were reported in Sialkot, while only a dispensary was damaged in Shakargarh.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif further stated that five civilians, including a five-year-old child, were martyred due to unprovoked Indian shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) during the night.
He emphasised that the Pakistan Armed Forces, with full public support, responded swiftly and decisively to the Indian aggression.
Condemning the deliberate targeting of mosques, the DG ISPR said such attacks reflect the growing extremism under the Hindutva-driven ideology of the Modi government, where religious freedom, particularly for Muslims, is increasingly being suppressed.
In addition to civilian populations, DGISPR revealed that the Indian forces also targeted the Neelum Jhelum hydropower project and the structure of the Nauseri Dam.
"International law prohibits attacks on a country's water resources. Such actions carry dangerous consequences and are unacceptable," DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said.
