Police have yet not traced two unidentified persons who escaped after abandoning the body of a minor boy at the emergency department of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) on Wednesday.
However, police surgeon Dr Summaiya Tariq confirmed that the child had been tortured and sexually abused before his death. She added that samples have been collected from the body for DNA profiling.
The victim was identified as Rawal Fayyaz, a resident of the Qayyumabad area.
Meanwhile, the police have traced the address of the person in whose name the car is registered. The owner of the car, Owais Raza, is a resident of the Defence area.
CCTV footage obtained by the police showed two persons bringing the boy to the hospital’s emergency department in a car that had minor damage on the front bumper, suspected to have hit the victim.
Furthermore, it can be seen in the footage that two individuals abandoned the body on a stretcher at the emergency department. One of them was wearing a white shalwar kameez and the other was wearing a green shirt and jeans.
