Afghan forces destroyed a section of the Friendship Gate along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border between Chaman and Spin Boldak on Wednesday, according to security sources. Reports suggest that Afghan troops, in coordination with terrorist elements, continue to engage in unprovoked offensive actions in the border region.

The Afghan forces, alongside Indian-backed Fitna al Khawarij militants, attempted coordinated attacks on three locations inside Pakistan. However, these efforts were successfully repelled by Pakistani forces, resulting in the deaths of over 15 attackers.

Several unverified videos circulating online showed Pakistan’s military moving tanks toward border areas in Balochistan. These renewed escalations on Wednesday came after Afghan forces raised a white flag to request a ceasefire on Tuesday.

The latest attacks and border clashes come at a time when Afghanistan’s foreign minister is visiting India. During his trip, he criticised Pakistan for carrying out military strikes, even as Afghan troops themselves continue to provoke aggression along the border.

Videos shared on social media appeared to show Afghan forces blowing up the Friendship Gate in Spin Boldak. This fresh confrontation follows deadly overnight clashes, when indiscriminate firing by Afghan troops on the border drew a powerful retaliatory response from Pakistan.
