An AI-generated video of US President-elect Donald Trump visiting Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail went viral, widely shared on social media by PTI supporters.
PTI has been advocating for Donald Trump's return to the White House since the US presidential campaign began, with many hoping that renewed ties between the two former heads of state could help secure Imran Khan’s release from prison.
The video depicts Donald Trump entering the prison alongside several prison cops, then meeting Imran Khan, who appeared in a grey tracksuit.
The two were shown shaking hands and conversing, with one of Khan’s speeches playing in the background.

Earlier, PTI leader Raoof Hassan said that PTI representatives in the United States have had two or three meetings with Trump's team.
The Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee also voiced its support for Trump’s candidacy, drawing parallels between the former president and their incarcerated leader, as both oppose military war in the region.
Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari also announced to visit Washington to secure a meeting with Trump’s team to highlight Imran Khan’s imprisonment and alleged injustices faced by his party.
According to experts, the PTI is drawn to Trump because former prime minister was invited to the White House in 2019, where he received a warm welcome, and both leaders expressed mutual appreciation.
Meanwhile, interactions between Trump, Republican leaders, and overseas Pakistanis in the US have also fueled this perception.
PTI supporters contend that while Pakistan’s relations with the US were amicable during Trump’s presidency, they considerably deteriorated after Joe Biden's election, particularly regarding the political tensions surrounding Imran Khan and his government.
Experts suggest that the US election is unlikely to bring significant changes to Pakistani politics or provide relief for PTI.
