Social activist Alizey Khan has achieved a milestone as she became the first Pakistani to receive the Diana Legacy Award from the British royal family.

Prince William presented an award to Khan at a ceremony held in London on Thursday (March 14).

The 26-year-old also became the youngest person to receive the award for social action or humanitarian efforts.

After every 2 years, Prince Willian and Prince Harry organise the legacy awards to celebrate the achievements of 20 young leaders from across the world.

Pakistani woman received the award for her humanitarian work as she has established a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) to combat food insecurity by delivering ration bags and cooked meals to needy people.

Her social entity, named Ruhi Foundation, also bears the education expenses of children of sex workers and is actively involved in fundraising for orphanages in Lahore.

During the pandemics in Pakistan like Covid-19 and the 2023 floods, Alizey provided ration bags to those in need.
