An ambulance of Rawalpindi’s Holy Family Hospital has arrived at Adiala Jail carrying medicines and medical equipment for a check-up of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Citing sources, media reports said that the ambulance entered the prison through Gate No. 5 and was equipped with instruments for eye examinations. Doctors are also expected to visit the jail to conduct a medical check-up, according to the reports.
Separately, medical records relating to Khan’s treatment in jail have been sent to the Punjab Home Department. They said the documents include a complete chart of his vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and blood sugar readings.
Reports on his eye condition, consultation notes and details of the medical staff involved in his treatment were also forwarded to the department.
The reports said that the record contains information on when and by which doctors he was examined. On-duty doctors conduct medical assessments and monitor his vital signs three times a day, and the results are documented regularly.
