KARACHI: The legal team representing accused Armaghan has made another attempt to delay proceedings by seeking transfer of multiple cases and expressing a vote of no confidence in the court.

According to details, Armaghan’s mother, Sarah, has filed an application in the MIT section of the Sindh High Court.

The petition claims that the complainant in the case has moved four cases against Armaghan to the Anti-Terrorism Court No. 7.

It further alleges that Wajiha Aamir is neither a complainant nor a witness in the matter and has falsely presented herself as a petitioner.

The application also states that the defence has serious reservations about the conduct of the trial court.

It claims that a request for medical examination of Armaghan was rejected by the court, which termed it a “drama”.

The petition further notes that a separate no-confidence application has already been filed in court.

The defence has requested that proceedings against Armaghan be halted and the cases be transferred to other courts.
