The suspects accused of killing 23-year-old Mustafa Amir, identified as Armughan and Shiraz, pointed out the spot in Dureji where they burned the victim to death, according to the police.
This latest development came after the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) team took the duo to the location, which they had identified during the investigation.
According to media reports, the suspects told police that they were en route to Hub via the Humdard University road, entering Hub through Sakrand before proceeding to Dureji. There, they stopped the car at a river and set it on fire.
While identifying the crime scene, the suspects also disclosed that after committing the act, they went to a hotel and had dinner. Police stated that they later brought the suspects to meet Mustafa Amir's relatives.
ATC extends suspects' physical remand
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday extended the physical remand of Armughan and Shiraz, accused of brutally torturing and killing 23-year-old Mustafa Amir in Karachi's DHA on January 6.

The suspects were produced in court, where the prosecutor requested a remand of at least two weeks. However, the court approved a five-day physical remand instead.
During the proceedings, suspect Armughan collpased in the courtroom. When asked if he wanted to say something, he started sobbing, and his father also broke down in tears
Police informed the court that Armughan had also fainted during his previous appearance in the court but a medical examination report declared that he was fit. Armughan complained to the court, "I am not being given food."
The situation took another turn when Armughan refused to recognize the lawyer sent by his mother. When questioned by the court, he claimed, "He is not my lawyer; I was tricked into signing before."

Meanwhile, Shiraz’s defense lawyer argued that his client was not involved in the case. He alleged that police raided Shiraz’s house without a female officer present and confiscated his sister’s laptop.
The lawyer was not allowed to sign the power of attorney. The court directed that the accused Shiraz undergo a medical examination and returned the sister's plea to meet the accused Shiraz.
