Arshad Nadeem declines Neeraj Chopra’s Bengaluru invite

Pakistan’s Olympic medallist Arshad Nadeem has formally declined an invitation from Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra to participate in the upcoming Bengaluru Classic Throwing Championship on May 24.

Sources said Nadeem thanked Chopra for the personal invitation in a written response but cited prior training and competition commitments as the reason for his non-participation. He conveyed his best wishes for the success of the event.

Nadeem is preparing to represent Pakistan at the Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea, which begins on May 27. He is expected to travel in the third week of May to acclimatize ahead of the competition.
