Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of former President Asif Ali Zardari and the sister of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has taken a principled stand by announcing that she will not accept any salary or allowances as a member of the National Assembly.

This decision reflects her commitment to public service and her dedication to the people she represents.

In a formal letter addressed to the National Assembly Secretariat, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari clearly stated her intention to forego any financial remuneration for her role as an elected representative. She has also requested that any salary or allowances that may have already been issued to her be revoked immediately.

This significant gesture comes after Aseefa was elected unopposed in the by-election for the National Assembly seat NA-207 in Nawabshah. Representing the Pakistan Peoples Party, her unopposed election highlights the strong support and trust the people of Nawabshah have in her and the PPP.

Aseefa’s decision to serve without any financial gain underscores her dedication to the principles of selfless service and integrity in politics. It sets a commendable example for other public representatives and reinforces the Bhutto family's longstanding legacy of prioritizing the welfare of the people above personal benefits.

This move is likely to resonate deeply with her constituents and party supporters, further solidifying her position as a dedicated and conscientious leader within the PPP.
