Babar Azam's video message surface ahead of match with India in T20 World Cup

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has issued a video message ahead of match with India in T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played on February 15.

In the released clip, the captain spoke candidly about the unique pressure that comes with India vs Pakistan matches, describing them as emotionally intense events that draw global attention. He also emphasized that the key to performing well in such matches is to stay calm, relaxed and shielded from external noise. 

“An India–Pakistan match is always high-intensity…the whole world is involved,” he said.

Babar claimed that he and the team have played many high-pressure matches and learned from them, and he advises younger players to stay “tension-free” in order to give their best on the field. 

The India-Pakistan clash always attracts global attention, given the historic rivalry between the two sides. Pakistan’s approval to play this match was confirmed after the team reversed an earlier government boycott and agreed to take part in the match following discussions with cricket authorities.
