Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led Pakistan’s diplomatic delegation in a special session held at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London.

The IISS is recognized globally as a leading think tank specializing in research on defense, security, and strategic affairs.

The session was hosted by Desmond Bowen, Associate Fellow for South and Central Asian Defence, Strategy, and Diplomacy. The event was attended by global policymakers, strategic analysts, and members of the media.

In his address, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed deep concern over India’s unprovoked military actions in South Asia, stating that such operations have not only caused civilian casualties but have also posed serious threats to regional stability.

He condemned India’s unilateral and unlawful suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it a violation of international obligations and a direct threat to the water security of Pakistan’s 240 million people.

Bilawal appealed to the international community to take notice of the situation and hold India accountable for its actions.

The delegation included Pakistan’s Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik, Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman, former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, former Minister for Commerce and Defence Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan, MQM Parliamentary Leader Senator Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt, former Foreign Secretaries Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tehmina Janjua.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, was also present at the meeting.

Bilawal reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for constructive dialogue and resolution of the Kashmir dispute, calling on the global community to support meaningful negotiations to resolve the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
