Bushra Bibi's daughter moves LHC for meeting with mother at Adiala jail

Incarcerated former first lady Bushra Bibi’s daughter has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking permission to meet her mother at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail.

According to the details, Mubashira Khawar Maneka filed a petition through Lahore High Court Bar Association President Malik Asif Ahmed.

The Punjab government, the superintendent of Adiala Jail and other relevant authorities have been named as respondents in the case.

The petitioner states in her plea that Bushra Bibi is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail and that she is her biological daughter. She argues that under jail rules, she has the legal right to meet her mother.

The petition further point out that, as per the official schedule, Tuesdays are designated for family visits. However, despite repeated attempts, the Adiala Jail superintendent has not allowed her to meet her mother.

The petitioner requested the court to direct the Adiala Jail superintendent to arrange her immediate meeting with Bushra Bibi.
