Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that terrorism is not Pakistan’s way but India’s, adding that Pakistan does not fight from hiding, it challenges its enemies openly.

Speaking at the National Ulema and Mashayikh Conference in Islamabad, Field Marshal Asim Munir said there is a deep connection between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan.

He noted that among all Muslim nations, Pakistan has been honoured with the responsibility of protecting the Haramain, and described the defence agreement with Saudi Arabia as historic.

The field marshal said that nations that abandon knowledge and learning become vulnerable to chaos and disorder.

He added that honour and strength come not through division, but through hard work and education.

The Chief of Defence Forces reiterated that terrorism is India’s practice, not Pakistan’s, and stated that Pakistan confronts its enemies boldly. He added that victory in the “battle of truth” came with the help of God.

He further said that in an Islamic state, no one except the state has the authority to declare jihad. Asim Munir urged religious scholars to keep the nation united and broaden the national outlook, concluding with “Long live Pakistan.”
