Nine-year-old Hania Adeel, who was shot dead in a firing incident involving Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel in Chakwal on June 10, had multiple gunshot wounds on body, according to her autopsy report.
It said that 11 bullet and injury marks were found on the child's body. The gunshots caused severe damage to vital organs, including the heart, liver, lungs, chest and abdomen.
Doctors who conducted the post-mortem stated that all the bullets struck Hania before her death. They said the injuries were so serious that they would have caused immediate death.
Hania, a member of an Australian-Pakistani family visiting Chakwal on holiday, was killed when CCD officials allegedly opened fire on the family's vehicle after mistaking it for one being used by robbers. She died at the scene.
The post-mortem report also stated that six to eight hours had passed between her death and the examination. Hospital authorities sealed her blood-stained clothes, X-rays and other evidence before handing them over to police.
