CM Maryam praises police for fining son’s security vehicle

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz commended the police team that issued a traffic challan to the security vehicle of her son, Junaid Safdar, saying the action reflects that the law is equal for everyone in Punjab.
She praised the officers involved, Shahzeb (in-charge), Pervez, Haider, and Mujahid, for upholding the rule of law without discrimination. The security vehicle was fined for a traffic violation.
'The rule of law is the hallmark of my government,' she said, emphasising her commitment to uniform enforcement of laws across the province.
Separately, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also announced compensation of Rs 5.5 million for the family injured in a recent lion attack in Lahore’s Johar Town.

The incident occurred on July 3, when a lion escaped from a private farmhouse and attacked a family, injuring two children and a woman.
According to police, the lion had escaped due to an unsecured enclosure on the property. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital, where the condition of two children remains critical.
Maryam Nawaz reiterated that the illegal keeping of wild animals will not be tolerated anywhere in Punjab and vowed strict action against violators.
