RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Wednesday cautioned the youth against falling prey to social media propaganda against Pakistan.
He was addressing the Pakistan National Youth Conference in Islamabad.
COAS General Asim Munir emphasized the importance of verifying news stories shared on social platforms, stating that a society devoid of positive thinking and research remains in chaos.
Gen Munir reassured that the Pakistan Army stands prepared to address both internal and external threats and conspiracies, emphasizing the unwavering commitment to the sovereignty of Pakistan.
He underscored the foundational purpose of Pakistan's creation, emphasizing the distinctions in religion, civilization, and culture from Hindus, steering away from adopting Western influences.
The COAS urged the youth to maintain confidence in their homeland, nation, culture, civilization, and themselves. He highlighted the role of the young generation as custodians of the nation's traditions and interpreters of the dreams of national figures such as Iqbal and the Quaid.
Acknowledging Pakistan's blessings in abundant mineral resources, agriculture, and a youthful workforce, Gen Munir emphasized the symbiotic existence of the nation and its people. "If Pakistan exists, so do we; if not, we are nothing," he affirmed.
