One policeman was martyred and two others were injured in an explosion at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Peshawar on Sunday.
According to media reports, police officials said that the blast occurred inside the station’s ammunition store, where old explosive material was kept.
The explosion triggered a fire that spread to other ammunition, causing multiple secondary blasts. A portion of the building also collapsed due to the impact.
According to the Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), the initial investigation suggested that the explosion was accidental and not the result of a terrorist act.
