The court of the Judicial Magistrate (South) has granted permission for alleged drug trafficker Anmol, alias Pinky, to appear via video link in various cases.
Approving the application filed by the police, the court authorised the accused’s appearance through video link in eight separate cases.
According to the court order, due to security concerns, it is not necessary for the accused to be physically produced before the court until the submission of the charge sheets.
The court further directed the Jail Superintendent to ensure that the accused is produced whenever required by the court. Strict instructions in this regard have been issued as part of the court’s order.
It is noteworthy that, in its application, the police argued that producing the accused in court could pose a risk to public order and security; therefore, permission should be granted for her appearance via video link.
Subsequently, the court approved the accused’s appearance via video link in one case registered at Garden Police Station, six cases registered at Gizri Police Station, and one case registered at Baghdadi Police Station.
