KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi on Tuesday extended the physical remand of accused Armaghan for six days in connection with the high-profile Mustafa Amir murder case.
Both Armaghan and his co-accused, Sheeraz were produced before the court for the hearing.
During the proceedings, Sheeraz’s defense counsel argued that a witness in the case had been wrongfully made an accused.
The court, however, sent Sheeraz to jail on judicial remand.
Meanwhile, Armaghan, the prime suspect, complained to the court that he had been wearing the same clothes for 15 days and alleged that his thumbprints were taken by force.

The prosecution lawyer informed the court that the murder weapon had not yet been recovered.
He further stated that the investigation team needed to gather evidence regarding the suspect’s movements outside Karachi.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the ATC judge granted a six-day physical remand for Armaghan, while Sheeraz was sent to jail on judicial remand. The investigation remains ongoing.
