The DG ISPR confirmed that Afghan forces attempted to target several locations in Balochistan. However, these attacks were swiftly thwarted by the Pakistan Army, resulting in the deaths of over 15 perpetrators, including Afghan soldiers and members of Fitna al Khawarij.

Afghan troops and terrorists are regrouping at staging points along the border following Pakistan’s retaliatory strike.

According to a statement by the ISPR, Afghan Taliban “resorted to cowardly attack[s] at four locations in [the] Spin Boldak area” in the early hours of Wednesday. “The attack was effectively repulsed by Pakistani forces,” the statement said.

The ISPR’s statement refers to how the attack from the Afghan side was deliberately carried out in a way that endangered civilians living in the border villages, which are often divided between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

““The situation is still developing. There are reports of further buildup at staging points of Fitna-al-Khwarij and [the] Afghan Taliban,” the military’s media wing said.

“The Afghan Taliban also destroyed the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on their side, which clearly displays the mindset with regard to mutual trade and easement rights of the divided tribes,” it added.
