DG ISPR pays tribute to martyred Major Adnan during visit to Khar

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt. General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry paid tribute to Major Adnan Shaheed during his visit to Khar, describing him as “the pride of the nation.”

The DG ISPR stated that the sacrifices of such brave sons of the soil will never be forgotten. “It is an honour to kiss the hands of the mother who raised such a courageous son and to embrace the father whose son became a symbol of bravery,” he added.

Prayers were also offered for Major Adnan Shaheed, asking Allah Almighty to grant him the highest place in paradise.

Serving in the 5th Commando Battalion of the Pakistan Army’s elite Special Service Group (SSG), Major Adnan displayed extraordinary courage, prioritising the safety of his fellows over his own life.

He was admitted to CMH Rawalpindi, where he remained under treatment for several days before succumbing to his injuries .

He was struck by bullets in his hand and leg while providing cover to a wounded soldier. He managed to eliminate two terrorists.
