Dr Zakir Naik to deliver lecture at Karachi's Polo Ground today at 7pm

Renowned religious scholar Dr Zakir Naik is set to deliver his first public lecture at Polo Ground in Karachi today (October 5) at 7pm.

According to the spokesperson Karachi Traffic Police, event attendees can park their vehicles at DJ College and YMCA lawn grounds.

Aiwan-e-Sadar raod will remain closed for traffic from Fawara Chowk to Khajoor Chowk.

Traffic flow from Shaheen Complex will be directed towards Ziauddin Ahmed Road and PIDC Chowk.

A day earlier, the cleric delivered his lecture at the Governor house, where hundreds of people, including political leaders, social activists, religious leaders, and students, attended the event.

However, the ceremony was not a public event and was organised for Governor Kamran Tessori's IT project students and political and religious leaders.

Dr Naik is currently in Pakistan for a month-long visit, which began on September 30.

Upon his arrival at Islamabad airport, he was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Additional Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Dr Attaur Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary Religious Affairs Shamsheer Ali Mazari, and other dignitaries.

Dr Naik's upcoming schedule includes addressing public gatherings at Polo Ground in Karachi on October 6, followed by private meetings from October 7 to 10. 

He will then travel to Lahore and deliver lectures on October 12 and 13, and later in Islamabad on October 19 and 20. 

These events will be broadcast live on Peace TV, allowing a broader audience to benefit from Dr. Naik's expertise in comparative religion.
