Federal government approves hospital transfer for Imran Khan

The Federal Government of Pakistan has decided to transfer PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to a hospital for medical treatment.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry stated that the decision was taken in light of Imran Khan’s health concerns.
He confirmed that Khan has also been allowed to communicate with his sons.
Dr. Chaudhry emphasized that the government prioritizes humanitarian considerations and legal obligations, ensuring that all prisoners receive appropriate facilities in accordance with the law.

A bail petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court seeking suspension of the sentence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the “Toshakhana-2” case, citing serious health issues affecting his eyesight.
The petition, submitted by Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, also includes an ancillary request to expedite the hearing in the £190 million case.
According to the petition, Imran Khan suffers from a severe condition in his right eye, diagnosed by Dr. Muhammad Arif of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
