Under the leadership of Cybercrime Wing West Director Imran Mahmood, specialized teams have been monitoring and analyzing suspicious activities across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and others using advanced technology.
During the past three months, the FIA flagged accounts responsible for sharing anti-state content, including 487 Facebook accounts, 190 TikTok accounts, 147 Twitter (X) accounts, 88 Instagram accounts, and 12 accounts on other platforms.
Details of these accounts have been shared with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), which has so far blocked 312 accounts.
