The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has clarified that the reports regarding Pakistani passengers being off-loaded while travelling abroad are baseless.

The agency stated that only those passengers are off-loaded who either lack the required documents or whose documents are found to be questionable.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Director FIA Lahore Zone, Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Zia, said that 60,000 to 70,000 passengers travel abroad daily through various airports, and all passengers are provided complete assistance at the airport.

He further stated that the rate of deported passengers is only 0.6 percent, and such individuals are deported solely because they fail to meet the required SOPs.

Muhammad Ali Zia added that human-smuggling networks are spreading baseless propaganda through social media in an attempt to pressure state institutions.

The FIA is continuously providing guidance to Pakistanis travelling abroad and remains committed to doing everything possible to enhance the global respect of the Pakistani passport.
