Field Marshal Asim Munir warns Taliban regime to act against terrorists

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir delivered a powerful address at the passing-out parade of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday, outlining Pakistan’s clear stance on national sovereignty, regional conflicts.
Reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to defend the nation, Field Marshal Munir declared that “not an inch of our sacred land will be surrendered to the enemy.” He emphasized that Pakistan’s sovereignty is non-negotiable and any threat to it will be met with a decisive response.
Speaking about regional tensions, the army chief cautioned India against reckless adventurism, warning that “there is no space for war in a nuclearized environment.”
He urged New Delhi to resolve outstanding issues peacefully, based on equality and mutual respect, warning that any provocation would be met with a strong and disproportionate response.
On the issue of Afghanistan, Field Marshal Munir urged the Afghan people to choose peace over hostility, saying, “We urge the people of Afghanistan to choose mutual security over perpetual violence and progress over hardline obscurantism.”
He also called on the interim Afghan government to take firm action against terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil, warning that Pakistan would not tolerate cross-border attacks.
“The Taliban regime must rein in the proxies who have sanctuaries in Afghanistan and are launching heinous attacks inside Pakistan,” he said.
Field Marshal Munir also took aim at India’s involvement in destabilizing th region through proxies, vowing to deal with such threats decisively. “Indian proxies will be erased to dust,” he asserted, underlining Pakistan’s readiness to crush any attempts at undermining its security.
He drew attention to the suffering of Palestinians and Kashmiris, describing their plight as “festering wounds on the conscience of humanity.” He reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for their right to self-determination and called on the international community to act with moral clarity.
Condemning Israel’s aggression in Gaza, he said the world had finally begun recognizing “Israel’s blatant aggression, genocide, and forced displacement of Palestinians, which has led to the martyrdom of thousands of innocent civilians including women, children, and the elderly.”
Munir expressed hope that the ceasefire in Gaza would hold, allowing humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts to reach the affected population. He reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing stance for a two-state solution, envisioning an independent, sovereign Palestine based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Sharif as its capital.
Field Marshal Munir also lauded US President Donald Trump’s role in promoting global peace, calling his diplomatic efforts “praiseworthy.”
Field Marshal Munir warned against internal and external efforts to create division between Pakistan’s people and its armed forces, noting that “enemies are actively attempting to sow rifts between the nation and its defenders to achieve their malicious objectives.”
His address at Kakul carried a unified message of resilience, diplomacy, and deterrence, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty while advocating peace and stability across the region.
