The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan termed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Gujarat as 'reckless'. As per the statement, the 'provocative' speech is a violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, and Modi was trying to distract the global community from "demographic engineering in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir".
The FO statement was a response to Modi’s Gujarat speech in which he threatened Pakistani youth, stating, “To end terrorism in Pakistan, the people of Pakistan need to step forward. Live peacefully and eat your bread, or else my bullet is ready.”
He said that Pakistan takes terrorism as tourism, and this mentality was a risk for the rest of the world.
The Indian Prime Minister, who is known as the Butcher of Gujarat, made a serious allegation to Pakistani authorities that terrorism was a means of earning money for them [government and army]. The people of Pakistan should come forward and put an end to terrorism.
The FO, in response, declared that Pakistan has “taken note of the recent remarks” made by the Indian Premier in his Gujrat speech.
“This kind of inflammatory rhetoric goes against the core principles of the United Nations Charter.”
Radio Pakistan quoted the Foreign Office, saying, “Pakistan views these remarks as a reckless provocation, intended to distract from the ongoing human rights abuses and demographic engineering in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.”
The Foreign Office urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s escalating rhetoric, which undermines regional stability and the prospects for lasting peace.
