Former Prime Minister Imran Khan believed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after “embarrassment” during the recent military conflict with Pakistan, would “retaliate” in an attempt to restore his image in the country.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a conversation with his legal team from Adiala Jail, stated, “Narendra Modi, having faced embarrassment in the recent Indo-Pak tensions, is likely to retaliate to salvage his pride.”
Discussing ongoing trials related to the May 9, 2023, events, he called them “baseless” and part of a wider plot to dismantle Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“May 9 was a false flag operation,” Khan said, adding, “To this day, no CCTV footage has been presented to this day. The past two years have made it abundantly clear that its sole objective was to crush PTI.”
He also condemned the delay in election-related legal proceedings as Khan believed that “seats were stolen from our candidates in Peshawar through the manipulation of Form-47,” he stated.
“Yet, despite the passage of 15 months, and repeated changes in laws and judges, hearings have not even begun.”
Khan urged that the party’s representatives in “Peshawar must immediately file petitions in the High Court and gather [protest] before the Election Commission. The KP Assembly should also pass a resolution on this injustice.”

Highlighting his position in the party, Khan emphasised the need for his input in policy decisions in KP. “The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa seeks my guidance on budgetary and policy matters, the people have elected PTI to govern, and therefore, the responsibility for policymaking also rests with us.”
Refuting recent media claims, he clarified, “No one has approached me for any negotiations.”
Khan warned of rising regional threats, terrorism, and economic decline, calling for national dialogue, but only with those in power as “engaging with the puppet PML-N government is pointless. It’s a Form-47-installed government has already wasted two months.”
Decrying the state of democracy, he said, “Rule of law and morality are dead. What we now have is the law of the jungle.”
