As India revoked visas issued under SAARC privileges and expelled Pakistani nationals without considering urgent humanitarian needs, a Pakistani man was forced to return via the Wagah border with his two critically ill children, both of whom were admitted to an Indian hospital for life-saving surgeries.
The distressed father revealed that his children were “punished for no reason,” saying they were compelled to leave India despite being in dire need of immediate medical care.
“Indian doctors had already warned me that I was late in getting my children’s surgeries,” he said, explaining that the necessary treatment was not available in Pakistan.
He made an emotional appeal to the Pakistani government to arrange alternative medical treatment for his children abroad, urging authorities to take swift action before it is too late.

As the deadline for Pakistani citizens to leave India expired on Sunday, 536 Pakistanis returned to their homeland, while 849 Indian nationals crossed back into India through the Wagah border.
Many families on both sides of the border remain hopeful of eventually returning to their homes. Meanwhile, amid rising tensions, India instructed farmers in the border areas of Indian Punjab to harvest their crops within two days.
After the Pahalgam incident, the BJP-led government in India took hostile measures, including suspending visas, closing borders, and attempting to suspend the Indus Water Treaty, all without providing any evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in the incident. Islamabad also responded accordingly.
