The Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan has dismissed a set of petitions challenging election results in multiple constituencies.

According to a decision announced by Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan, a request for re-counting in GBA-17 Diamer-III was rejected, confirming the victory of Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Muhammad Naseem.

In GBA-18 Diamer-IV, objections were also dismissed, retaining the win of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Kifayat-ur-Rehman. Similarly, objections in GBA-14 Astore-II were rejected, upholding the success of PML-N candidate Rana Muhammad Farooq.

The commission maintained the results in GBA-20 Ghizer-II in favour of PML-N candidate Abdul Jehan, while in GBA-19 Ghizer-I, the victory of PPP candidate Syed Jalal Shah was confirmed after dismissal of objections.

In GBA-15 Diamer-I, objections were rejected and the win of independent candidate Dilpazeer was upheld. Likewise, in GBA-5 Nagar-I, the result in favour of PPP candidate Zulfiqar Ali Murad was maintained.

However, in GBA-16 Diamer-II, while the request for re-polling by an independent candidate Imam Malik was rejected, the Election Commission directed that postal ballot papers be recounted.
