Amidst verbal confrontation between representatives of federal and provincial governments for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor Faisal Kareem Kundi has invited CM Ali Amin Gandapur for a slap-up meal and offered to work jointly for the sake of the province.
Addressing a press conference at Multan Press Club, Kundi stressed the need for cooperation with each other and ensured that he would use his authority for the rights of the people of KP.
“We should fight for our case on our forum,” Kundi said, adding, “I do invite Gandapur to meal and discuss the issues jointly.”
He also made it clear that he would accept Gundapur's offer for the meal if he was invited.
“I respect everyone, and we don’t want a fight." the Governor said.
"Don’t try to hide your failure and negligence in the blanket of verbal fight,” he added.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader also revoked the impression of imposing governor rule in KP, saying: “We will not allow a ‘political orphan’ to be a ‘political martyr’ by imposing governor rule.”
“No plan is being made in Governor House [against PTI government],” he added
Governor KP reminded CM Gandapur of his time in Sukkur prison, saying "No one came to visit you, Khurshid Shah and Bilawal kept sending you food in jail.
Faisal Kareem Kundi also ensured that he will strive to persuade the centre to provide a continuous supply of electricity, gas, and water in KP, and also assist in maintaining the law and order situation in the province.
