Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has announced that PTI founder’s family member Uzma Khan will no longer be allowed to meet him in Adiala Jail, saying that those who violated meeting rules have had their visits suspended.

During a press conference alongside Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Information Minister said that the PTI founder’s three sisters create a law-and-order situation outside the jail.

“Anyone who violated the law has had their meeting suspended. From today, Uzma Khan’s meeting is also discontinued.  The jail superintendent is bound to enforce the law,” he stated.

Atta Tarar said, “You cannot meet inside and then run propaganda outside. You were given a chance. Whoever violated the rules has lost their meeting privilege. Uzma Khan came out and claimed he was frustrated and angry. We also used to visit jails, but we never created a law-and-order situation.”

The Information Minister said, “All this should’ve been considered before committing the £190 million corruption. Anyone who violates rules will not be allowed to meet.

The state’s writ will be established. There will be no more daily drama outside Adiala. The purpose of meetings is to ask about well-being, but you come out and say you want to topple the state. Will you challenge a state that defeated India? Do you want to weaken the country’s defence and harm its sovereignty?”

He added that the state has decided that if any law-and-order situation arises outside the jail, it will be dealt with strictly. “If there is any violation outside the jail now, it will be handled with an iron hand. Let there be no ambiguity, the daily spectacle outside Adiala will not continue. We have also visited jails for meetings, but we never blocked roads.”
