The Green Climate Fund (GCF) — a global organization working to improve environmental sustainability — has approved $250 million in assistance for Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the funding will be utilized for the “Glaciers to Farms” project, which aims to strengthen water systems emerging from glaciers and help mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The statement added that the project will support farmers in Swat by improving agriculture and irrigation facilities, and will be implemented with the assistance of the ADB.
