Heavy rain, hailstorm expected to hit Karachi from March 1

The port city is expected to receive heavy rain coupled with hailstorm for four days, a weather analyst said on Tuesday.

According to weatherman Jawad Memon, Karachi is expected to receive heavy rainfall from March 1 (Friday) to March 4 (Monday).

The analyst further said that there are chance of hailstorm in some parts of the metropolis under the western wind system.

"Today [February 27] strong north-northeast winds will continue throughout the day in Karachi with breaks till evening. Wind speed will be around 30-40 kmph which will decrease gradually," Memom added.

The PMD recorded the lowest temperature in the last 12 hours at 17.5°C. Whereas, the highest temperature for the day is expected to soar to 28°C to 30°C in Karachi. Humidity in the air is 65 %, it said.
