Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has made explosive comments about the Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.
"I think [CJP] Faez Isa is not mentally fit," the former prime minister said while speaking to the media from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Friday.
Mr Khan expressed his concerns over the CJP's decisions, calling them biased and unprecedented.
"No Chief Justice in the world has done what the Chief Justice of Pakistan is doing," he said.
The veteran politician specifically pointed to the decision to take away PTI's election symbol ahead of the general elections as 'unfair'.
Mr Khan also criticised the Supreme Court judges for allegedly targeting PTI, while leaving family-run parties like PML-N and PPP unscathed.
The former premier also raised questions about the relationship between the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Justice, particularly regarding the handling of election fraud and the kidnapping of the Rawalpindi Commissioner.
The cricketer-turned-politician said that the CJP's actions were undermining the country's institutions and morality.
At last, Khan called on the 'nation and youth' to protest against the government's actions.
"We will protest, and even if we're given permission, they'll still try to force us out of the city."
He announced plans to block roads and stage protests in Islamabad and at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore.
Khan highlighted the country's economic woes, citing the departure of 1 million people and the misuse of the army-backed Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
"They're destroying the country for their own sake," he said.
Khan's comments came amid ongoing tensions between the PTI, the government, and the establishment.
