Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he had worked with the chief of army staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir for seven months and found him very serious about the development of the country.

"There would be no possibility of any conspiracy in his presence," the ex-premier said while talking to a private news channel.

PML-N president said that his party supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be the next prime minister of Pakistan.

“Nawaz Sharif can bring the nation together and he wishes to forget the past and move forward,” the ex-CM Punjab said.

"If Nawaz Sharif is voted into power, he will make Pakistan a welfare state," added Shehbaz Sharif.

Hinting about the possible dialogue with the former ruling party PTI, Shehbaz said: “Nawaz Sharif has given a clear message that he will take everyone along.”

"If someone had committed a crime, he would have to face the law," Shehbaz said while talking about PTI founder Imran Khan.

Shehbaz added that "Imran Khan is the person of his own ego, who signed the deal with IMF and then breached it."

"The country has gone through record inflation just because of Imran Khan."
