Sindh Police has formally declared DSP Syed Ahsan Zulfiqar a martyr after he was killed in the line of duty following a shooting incident involving Armaghan.

According to police, the officer was wounded on February 8, 2025, during a raid at a bungalow in Khayaban-e-Momin, Defence’s Gizri area, where a team from the Anti-Violent Crime Cell had conducted an operation in order to recover abducted youth Mustafa Amir.

The decision was approved by the Inspector General of Sindh, fulfilling a prior commitment to recognise the officer’s sacrifice.

An official martyrdom declaration order has now been issued on the recommendation of the relevant committee.

Authorities confirmed that DSP Zulfiqar lost his life while performing his official duties.

Under applicable Sindh government regulations, the officer’s family will be entitled to full state benefits, including financial support and quota-based concessions.

Officials stated that the recognition reflects the department’s commitment to honouring personnel who make the ultimate sacrifice in service.
