IHC orders release of over 120 PTI workers in November 26 protest case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the release of more than 120 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers detained in connection with the November 26 protest case.
The decision was announced by a two-member bench comprising Interim Chief Justice Justice Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif, who approved the bail pleas of the arrested individuals.
The court directed the PTI workers to submit affidavits along with surety bonds worth Rs 20,000 each before their release.
Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had ruled on the bail applications of 400 accused involved in cases related to the PTI protest.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain approved the bail of 250 individuals across 13 cases while rejecting the applications of 150 others.

In the case registered at Bani Gala Police Station, bail was granted to 18 accused. For Kohsar Police Station, bail was denied in Case No. 1033 but approved for 43 accused in Case No. 1032, with one application rejected.
At Shehzad Town Police Station, nine individuals were granted bail, while in the Noon Police Station case, 17 accused secured bail, and one application was rejected.
In the Abpara Police Station Case No. 1022, 70 bail applications were approved, while 25 were denied.
The court rejected bail for 30 individuals in a case registered at I-9 Police Station.
Meanwhile, in the Margalla Police Station case, bail was granted to 13 accused, with two applications rejected. In two cases at the Secretariat Police Station, bail was denied for 120 accused, while 10 individuals were granted relief.
